I’m really good with to do lists, i mean really good. I've gotten so good at making lists ive forgotten that actually doing thing on this list is more important. I capture well but i dont execute nearly as well.
so if you're like me I made some alternatives to the traditional to do list
1. The NOT TO DO list
this anti list should have all the things that stop you from being productive or take you away from the results you want for example, you can check off,
dont eat ice cream
dont log on to Facebook before noon
dont use curse words
2. The Done List
start with an empty page and simply put each task down as you've done it.
great for feeling accomplishment during and at the end of the day however not good if yore doing less important tasks and those priorities still drain your brain power
3. three to thrive list
still a to do list but only write 3 things and the only 3 things you are going to do that day.
this is based on the theory that its better to get 3 of 3 things done than 1 or 2 of 20
this is a great solution for those of us who write down wayyyyyy more things than we could ever get done in one day and then leaves us overwhelm and disappointed
sorry if you get done with 3 and have time left over you have to wait till tomorrow to start again.
If youre feeling ambitious then you can use the number 5 to thrive, pretty catc
4. the one thing list
may sound like the last one but this time you ask yourself, ""whats the one thing i can do that would make me feel satisfied if that was the only thing i got done today?"
anything else would be a distraction until the one thing is complete
a great technique to begin your day
so, do you to do lst? write in the comments below
