Video inspections

Many years ago ( about 1992) i heard a audio recording from the World Waterpark Association conference from I believe Ned Stancliff. He was talking about doing a daily safety inspection with a 35 mm camera and snapping pictures. At the end of the inspection the camera roll was dated, and placed in a draw in the event that it was needed if an incident occurred. While that was many years ago and digital cameras have been easily available for at least the last ten years, I wondered how many people use a video camera to perform daily, weekly or monthly inspections. Video cameras can now be purchased as cheaply as $50-$100.
