Training Game Name

icebreaker Bingo

Time Required

10-15 minutes

Type

icebreaker

Equipment / Supplies

printed forms ,pens for each person

Description

this is a great game to start with especially for new people but it can also refresh existing groups and I have found it works great with people who work in different departments. the objective is to encourage finding out names and interests with the main goal "we are more alike than we are different'

Step By Step Instructions

1. hand out preprinted bingo forms ( see examples)

2. instruct participants that they have 5 minutes (depending on size of group) to go around and find someone who matches the item in the bingo square.

3. for example find someone who matches the description ' knows how to play guitar'

4. once you've found someone you have to write their name under the category, then move on to the next item and person.

5. the game ends when either the time limit expires or the first person to complete all boxes

6. its better when you customize the boxes to match your area or current TV shows e.g. I've never watched ( game of thrones) or I've never flown in a plane

7. watch for participants who just go to someone else 's form to fill in names rather than meet new people

8. create a mild sense of urgency by calling out the timeclock countdown
