How to grade people with even numbers (or odd)

Anybody involved in leading people will at some point be asked to give someone a review or compare vendors when accepting bids. its normal then to use some kind of numerical scoring system

I recently read an interesting concept from the new book from Tim Ferriss as a follow-up to tools of titans.

One person he interviewed has a eliminated the number seven from their grading system.

This is interesting to me because it forces you to use 6 or 8 and be more decisive

if you really think about it, seven is a safe number and if you dont have that choice anymore you really have to commit to a 6 or 8

I wanted to take this to another level and perhaps illuminate all the odd numbers from your grading system

so your new choices would be 2,4,6,8 or 10, requiring a little more thought hopefully resulting in better results especially when used comparatively.

alternately you could do the same with odd numbers 1,3,5,7 or 9

just something to consider...........
