How to use a free applicant survey for better hiring

After an applicant has submitted an official application, I've used the free service at http://polldaddy.com to create an applicant survey (limited to 10 questions with the free version), because an application can not cover all the screening and qualifying it helps to
screen applicants better to save time in the interview process
begin outlining expectations by listing minimal requirements
keep the interview process professional without being too formal
can be posted on ad pages such as craigslist or sent by email
meet the changing climate of online applicants
we cover,
age eligibility for hiring needs
outlining requirements for working weekends and holidays
determining availability
guest service experience
ability to meet presentation guidelines
cash handling experience
Be sure to explain in the survey that answering the questions does not guarantee an interview and keep in mind to adhere to the appropriate hiring legal requirements in your state
